Hot Wheels Pop Ups

These were fun little play sets. They were nice because they were inexpensive and portable. Each one included a car and a collectors button.

Service Station - Car Wash

Another long forgotten, but then much loved toy. It was a great accessory  piece for our Matchbox and Hot Wheels cars.

Truly a great toy. Another made in Japan piece, unknown manufacturer.

Further research revealed that this was a Sears Exclusive being made in Japan for them.

Tootsietoy diecast vehicles

The Greyhound Scenicruiser! I actually still have this one, but not in very good condition. I remember Grandma taking a cross country trip to California and bringing one back for both of us. She said this was type of bus she made the  trip in. This was probably 1965 or 66.

Here are some other Tootsietoy cars and trucks we had.

These were unusual!

Rubber cars and trucks made by Tomte Laerdal in Stavanger, Norway. Again, I think these were purchased at Cohen's 5 & 10 and Woolworth's, like so many of our toys!

Here's a couple I'd forgotten about!

Both great, first the Barclay Manufacturing Beer Truck with barrels. I think I had 2 or 3 of these. Probably from Cohen's 5 & 10.

And the other...from Buddy L a toy traffic light.

Tonka's VW Beatle and Jeep

Gary had the black one, mine was blue.

For one of my birthdays (6 or 7) Grandma sent a package to our house in LI. This is what was in it.
